Computer Engineer, Software Engineer, or Analyst with Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and requirements development experience to work in an established M&S team supporting homeland security customer. Primary focus is software development on new and existing M&S and analysis tools. These tools are primarily used to conduct operational and process modeling of concepts of operations and alternative deployments of radiation detection equipment. Software and graphical user interfaces are to be developed to allow government personnel to run additional parametric studies using the physics and operational based modeling developed by the M&S team. The modeling is focused on determining: the probability of encountering a potential threat element in a given operational environment; and the probability of detecting and identifying a nuclear/radiation threat object. Modeling will support analysis of alternatives for deployment and selection of radiation/nuclear interdiction material and non-material solutions.
