Engility's Intelligence Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Scientist to join a program providing specialized engineering and analytical services in all-source intelligence collection and analysis for IC and DoD Space customers. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in intelligence collection systems, as well as extensive experience providing systems engineering and technical assistance to Intelligence Community customers.  Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Defining emerging space threats and developing mitigation approaches
  • Analyzing and interpreting non-resolved photometric imagery of resident space objects
  • Developing applied engineering and analytical tools, databases, and programs
  • Conducting or participating in space situational awareness technical research and analysis projects
  • Supporting tailored collection operations, interpreting campaign results and providing assessments and recommendations
  • Performing mission planning tasks, analysis, and coordination
  • Providing technical oversight and advisory services for mission protection-related functions of space systems

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have active TS/SCI with CI polygraph
  • Master's degree in physics, engineering, or applied mathematics
  • Requires minimum of 15+ years of technical research, development, and analysis experience in the Intelligence Community
  • Must be proficient with Windows, LINUX, FORTRAN, C++, MS Office, MATLAB and Python
  • Must have deep familiarity with National Security Space architecture and organizations
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communications and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • PhD in physics, engineering, or applied mathematics
  • 5+ System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) experience
  • 5+ years of satellite mission modeling and simulation
  • All-source intelligence experience
