Description

Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.               

Specific tasking in support of the MBSE pilot program may include:

  • Create models, packages and diagrams
  • Creating scripts to transfer file formats into MBSE tools
  • Working on Trade Studies to evaluate tools
  • Creating white papers, engineering documentation, presentations and briefings
  • Develop modeling processes and configuration management processes
  • Work with model based units and SysML equations
  • Coding automation of modeling
  • Working with MS Project, Sharepoint, and other PM tools
  • Test and evaluation, use cases, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Position requires a BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Logistics, Physics or a related scientific discipline.
  • Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering concepts.
  • The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to meet this obligation.
