Description

The ideal Software Research Engineer will be able to:

  • Integrate algorithms on individual and teams of robots
  • Evaluate the quality of performance of the desired behaviors. Of the software
  • Develop and abide by safe testing protocols
  • Travel and test in real-world setting, including outdoors 

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Programming of micro-controllers (e.g Pixhawk, Snapdragon, etc.), including the integration of RF comms, motors / servos, imaging and sensing generally, and data storage
  • Programming / scripting with the Robot Operating Systems (ROS) and possibly C/C++ & Python or applicable experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with Linux
  • Comfort trouble shooting and repairing mechanical systems applying some basic machining skills
  • Engineering/Computer Science Bachelor’s Degree

Desired Qualifications

  • Engineering or Computer Science Master’s Degree
  • 2 – 7+ years of experience
