Description

Provides strategic and technical guidance to Air Force Space Command in the areas of Cybersecurity, Public Key Infrastructure, and Identity Management across the Air Force. Responsible for maintaining technical familiarity and awareness of Air Force computer, network and enclave architectures and how AF policy should be modified to reflect the best security postures.

  • This position requires the ability to bridge the gap between ease-of-use and strong security practices to maximize implementation strategies.
  • This includes making PowerPoint presentations, attending telecoms, writing white papers, and working closely with PKI subject matter experts to build and defend courses of action.
  • The candidate should be knowledgeable of the standards, practices, processes, and capabilities applicable to computer security, encryption, PKI, Identity Management, and IT in the DoD and have the ability to articulate these issues to Senior Leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • TS Clearance
  • BS in an appropriate field of study
  • 10+ years’ experience in the Cyber/PKI/IA community
  • 5+ years’ experience working with Senior Leaders to support strategic planning
  • Working experience of Air Force or DoD network configurations and components
  • Experience in supporting the fielding of new PKI or IA associated software or hardware to include developing requirements and following acquisition processes
  • Current IT Certifications preferred (Sec+, CISSP, CEH, etc)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to collaborate / coordinate AF PKI positions with DoD PKI subject matter experts and decision makers
  • This is a standard office environment and requires lifting and moving of standard personal computers, files, and supplies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters of Science Degree
  • Familiarity or experience with the following topics/architectures:
    • Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), 2-Factor Authorization, Privileged Access Management, and 24 AF subordinate-unit missions.
  • Familiarity with Air Force Directory Services (AFDS) and the services they provide for the AF.
