Description

Provides support to the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division by recommending and implementing cybersecurity information technology solutions to secure business operations across the Air Force. Includes providing Information Assurance (IA) subject matter expertise in the areas of policy guidance, product support, implementation strategies, and operational process analysis in support of the Public Key Infrastructure, Common Access Card, and Identity Management activities in the Air Force. 

Required Qualifications

  • Secret Clearance
  • Masters of Science Degree (CS, EE or MIS) preferred
  • IT Certifications (e.g. RHEL, CISSP, Sec+) preferred
  • Specific, in-depth experience with Linux and/or Unix operating systems to properly configure them within secure IT infrastructures
  • Knowledgeable of the standards, practices, and processes applicable to computer security, encryption and IT in the AF and DoD
  • Maintain awareness of technologies, policies, processes and procedures associated with cyber security, information assurance, public key infrastructure, and public key enabling.
  • Experience in the Cyber/PKI/IA community.
  • Experience troubleshooting or designing Linux/Unix based infrastructures
  • Experience in providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Analytical skills - Must be able to evaluate policy and guidance, technology advancements in PKI, and operational requirements to formulate implementation strategies in the AF.
  • Communication and Interpersonal - Strong interpersonal skills in order to collaborate / coordinate AF PKI positions with DoD PKI subject-matter experts and decision makers
  • This is a standard office environment and requires lifting and moving of standard personal computers, files, and supplies.
