Description

The ARTC-KU Training Support Team is a 27 person team of trainers and Observer controllers based at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. We provide theater-specific training requirements and also Observer Controller mentorship to U.S. and Coalition forces in the region to include, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Qartar, UAE and Kazakhstan.

One (1) Senior Staff Logistics OC serves as the Logistics SME for the ARTC-KU Training Support Team (TST).

Duties: The Senior Staff Logistics OC reports directly to the Sr. Staff Coordinator/Trainer/ECG.

 

Serves as the Logistics SME with the responsibility to teach, coach and mentor Brigade/Battalion-level logistics officers in all aspects of logistics support, to include the following::

  • Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
  • Coordinating staff officer for logistic operations and plans
  • Provide staff oversight to brigade/battalion units in the areas of supply, maintenance, transportation, and field services
  • Staff integration for the battalion forward support company
  • Staff point of contact for unit movements and deployments
  • Developing logistic plans to support Brigade/Battalion operations
  • Coordinating with supporting brigade on current and future support requirements
  • Conducting logistic preparation of the battlefield
  • Coordinating for all classes of supply
  • Monitoring and analyzing the equipment readiness status of all units
  • Planning transportation to support special transportation requirements (i.e., casualty evacuation [CASEVAC])
  • Coordinating for food preparation, water purification, mortuary affairs, aerial delivery, laundry shower, and clothing/light textile repair
  • Recommending sustainment priorities and controlled supply rates (CSR) to the commander
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) and Operation Spartan Shield (OSS) training and exercises.

 

Be prepared to deploy throughout the USCENTCOM AOR.

 

May be required to perform duties in support of:

  • Squad Overmatch training
  • OC Academy
  • STX Lanes

Perform additional duties as prescribed by the Sr. Staff Coordinator/Trainer/ECG.

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Former E7/O3 or above in the Army/Marine Corps with a logistics MOS/branch and experience in a Brigade/Battalion Operation Center S-4 section.
  • Experience in preparing and planning training exercises for a Brigade/Battalion or higher organization.
  • Experience in teaching or participating in the military decision-making process (MDMP) or Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP).
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related work experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Former E8/O4 with experience in a Brigade/Battalion S-4 section.
  • Brigade S4 experience.

 

  • Prior assignment to a CTC/TEECG as an Observer/Controller or CTC experience as BLUFOR/OPFOR.
