  • The Senior Programmer will serve as the LOGFAC team’s primary software developer, Oracle Forms and Reports technical expert, and web services technical expert.
  • The Senior Programmer is the lead developer for the software development team. 
  • Will oversee all aspects of software design and code.
  • Will be in charge of the software team, making sure all code changes conform to the software design, are traceable back to identified problems or defects, and meet or exceed the LOGFAC standards and that all changes to the design are properly documented and reported to the rest of the team.
  • Senior Programmer will work closely with all members of the LOGFAC team to assist in troubleshooting problems and develop efficient solutions for issues that affect multiple technical disciplines (operating system problems that require code changes, code changes that require database changes, etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years’ software development experience; the 3 most recent years will have been as the lead developer for one or more DoD software projects
  • 5 years’ experience with Oracle Forms and Reports, SQL and PL/SQL,
  • 3 years’ experience building and deploying web applications -- to include web service applications -- with Java 6 and/or 7 preferred
  • 3 years working experience with Solaris or HP UNIX. Specifically operation through command shell: Kornshell, Bash, Bourne
  • 1 year recent experience in XML web services methodologies including SOAP, JAX-WS, JAX-RPC, ApacheWS, common XML parsers, and best practices for the construction and use of XML web services
  • Encryption and authentication through PKI

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • UNIX scripting: Bash, Bourne
  • Experience in a Solaris development environment.
  • Experience with WebLogic and application deployment through WLST
  • Working knowledge of the SSH/TLS handshake cycle.
