Description

In support of PEO Soldier the ideal Unit Systems Integrator (USI) must have relevant experience in tactical operations at the small unit (team, squad, platoon, and company) level in one of the following Branches / Military Occupational Specialties (MOS):  Infantry, Armor, Cavalry, Special Forces, Engineer or Field Artillery to serve as tactical Unit System Integrators (USIs). Exceptions may be made for other Branches or MOS where personnel have a working knowledge of the Project Manager (PM) Soldier Warrior (SWAR) equipment.  

 

The ideal Unit Systems Integrator will:

  • Be tactical and have the ability to coach/teach/mentor small unit leaders at the team, squad, platoon and company levels of combat arms organizations as demonstrated by their experience and military training 
  • Evaluate individual and small unit (team, squad, platoon and company) tactical proficiency with system use and provide formal and informal remedial or reinforcement training to improve proficiency
  • Provide recommended improvements to existing training programs or recommend training program development for the system, subsystems and any external systems that interface with the system
  • Assist PMs and PdMs with development of training requirements and materials
  • Be required to complete the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or a comparable course, This training will be coordinated by the PM for those required personnel
  • Demonstrate the ability to assist the PdMs with the hand-off of equipment by providing information, instruction, formal training, and on-the-job training at an Army installation or materiel fielding hand-off site
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of PM SWAR products, including Nett Warrior (NW), Tactical Communications and Protective System (TCAPS) and future PM Soldier Warrior products such as Soldier Power and ability to assist with integration of the PM SWAR products into all echelons of Capability Set BCTs and non-Capability Set BCTs

Required Qualifications

The ideal Unit System Integrator (USI) will meet/possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum education requirement of High School/GED > 14 years experience or Associates >  12 years experience or Bachelors in Directly Related Field  > 5 years experience 
  • Active Secret clearance
  • 2+ years of experience demonstrating a working knowledge of PM SWAR products, including Nett Warrior (NW), Tactical Communications and Protective System (TCAPS) and future PM Soldier Warrior products
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in tactical operations at the small unit (team, squad, platoon, and company) level in one of the following Branches / Military Occupational Specialties (MOS):  Infantry, Armor, Cavalry, Special Forces, Engineer or Field Artillery
  • Able to complete the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or a comparable course

 

Desired Qualifications

  • PEO Soldier/US Army Unit Systems Integrator experience STRONGLY PREFERRED
  • Previous completion of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or a comparable course
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in tactical operations at the small unit (team, squad, platoon, and company) level in one of the following Branches / Military Occupational Specialties (MOS):  Infantry, Armor, Cavalry, Special Forces, Engineer or Field Artillery
  • Will consider candidates with a Bachelors in non-Directly Related Field  > 10 years,
  • Masters in non-Directly Related Field  > 5 years, Masters in Directly Related Field > 0 years
