Description

Engility is in need of a Navy Communications Engineer to support our Navy Program Office program in Washington, DC.

 

The Comms Engineer will be responsible for Navy shipboard command, control, and communications equipment operations and integration as well as assessing technical, programmatic and operational requirements against potential and existing materiel solutions.  The Comms Engineer will also be responsible for the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPB&E) process.  Working across stakeholder and product area communities to ensure risk, risk mitigations and emergent tasks are managed within schedule and budget.  The Comms Engineer will also be tasked with facilitating meetings, capturing highlights and action items, and direct on-site client support as required.

Required Qualifications

  • The Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance 
  • Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPB&E) process
  • Good communication and organizational skills to be able to work and coordinate with multiple program office personalities
  • Competent with MS Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – must be able to draft briefing materials and track technical products/budgets in Excel

Desired Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Degree in engineering is a plus. 
  • Experience in the Fleet, Navy homeports, or Field activities with shipboard Comms and C2 is also highly desirable.
