Description

Engility is seeking a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse, and highly motivated individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC area near the Washington Navy Yard and Nationals Baseball Stadium. The qualified candidate will perform systems engineering and program management support to T&E Programs for numerous types of U.S. Navy surface ships and weapon systems. The T&E Engineer will join the Test Resources Group that specializes in identification and validation of aerial drones and seaborne targets to represent military threats during live fire exercises.

 

  • The candidate will provide programmatic support to an integrated team developing high fidelity threat missile models for use in simulations of naval warfare.
  • Provide technical and management support to numerous naval programs in various stages of development on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), subsonic and supersonic aerial drones, and seaborne targets.
  • Research and analyze target vehicle upgrades and electronic representation technologies to ensure an adequate level of threat representation.
  • Develop and present technical briefings to senior-level government customers and stakeholders on research study results, resourcing strategies, and recommendations.
  • Assess and assimilate data into meaningful trends to identify potential risk to future test events.
  • Design creative solutions and propose alternative approaches when desired test resources are not projected to be available.
  • Travel to customer locations, test sites, and industry sites.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in systems, electrical, aerospace, or mechanical engineering.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated and able to learn numerous interdisciplinary systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active SECRET clearance.

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of UAV, RADAR, and surface-to-air missile capabilities.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts.
  • Navy / DoD weapon system acquisition experience.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages and software design processes.
