Looking for an experienced editor to line/copy edit the ﬁfth volume of the China Lake History series. Individual must have excellent command of the English language, grammar, and punctuation, and be well versed in editing reference notations, bibliographies, ﬁgure captions, and footnotes, and must have a general comprehension of the material in order to evaluate the manuscript for repetition and suggest changes to the author. Individual must be capable of working alone and interfacing effectively with government and contract employees and will be interfacing regularly with the author via phone conversations and emails.
A working knowledge of NOTS/NWC/NAWCWD China Lake, California, is preferred. Individual must also have knowledge of MS Word and In-Design formatting.
If selected for an interview, the individual will receive the Volume 5 exercise in MS Word and will edit it in that format as part of the selection process. Final version will be returned in MS Word, Times Roman font (12 pt), approximately 700 pages.
Must have a Secret clearance - an existing Interim Secret is acceptable.
