• Provide software engineering support B-52H software block cycles including CONECT and targeting pod integration.
• Provide software engineering support for B-52H Weapon Integration
• Provide technical recommendations regarding the software block processes and software development tools.
• Support Configuration Control Boards (CCB), review and validate products required for Operational Safety Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E), Airworthiness, and Configuration Management (CM) compliance.
• Translate DoD and AF user requirements into B-52 aircraft system-level requirements, which shall be used to design, develop, test, evaluate, produce, install, and operationally verify new systems, subsystems, and equipment.
• Provide technical and mission analyses of operational requirements, developing system concepts, performing technological and trade-off study assessments of proposed designs and modifications and providing recommendations.
• Review the overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability) requirements.
• Conduct technical reviews of various specifications and technical and procedural Statements of Work (SOWs), including those for systems, system segments, components, equipment, and modifications submitted by the B-52 weapon system Contractor or other DoD agencies involved in the program.
• Provide engineering analyses on systems and equipment for the purpose of evaluating and verifying system and equipment functionality, operability, performance and reliability.
• Responsible for development, maintenance and support of AF Airworthiness products. The Candidate will also support the development of technical data to support flight review boards.

Required Qualifications

• The candidate must have 12+ years of experience with aircraft software/hardware integration and a 4 Year Degree
• Candidate must be capable of working with minimal oversight and guidance and have excellent communication and written skills.
• Applicants selected for this position must have an active Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in USAF operations and maintenance is highly desirable.
• Previous B-52 or B-1B experience is highly desirable.
• Specific and applicable USAF Flight Test at Edwards AFB, Eglin AFB, or designated B-52 Operational Flight Test organizations is highly desirable
• Familiarity with the B-52 Offensive Avionics Flight Software, Weapon Integration and B-52 employed weapons, including missile systems is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of AGILE software processes is highly desirable
• Previous experience with aircraft weapon suspension systems is highly desirable.
