Support to the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Cyber Security Program to protect controlled technical information (CTI) across the DoD enterprise, including proactively mitigating future losses and exploiting opportunities to deter/deny/disrupt adversary efforts to threaten U.S. military advantage. This is a high priority to DoD, and is critical to preserving the competitive advantage and technological superiority of the United States.


The Vulnerability Analyst develops integrated products for Case Managers in support of CTI protection efforts, including identifying security and protection vulnerabilities of critical acquisition programs and technologies; recommending effective, cost-efficient countermeasures and enhanced protection options; providing support to vulnerability assessments and operational analysis (red teaming) of threats to critical acquisition programs and technologies; and conducting coordinated, integrated, horizontal, intelligence-based vulnerability assessments against programmatic collection and production requirements to identify threats, risks, and vulnerabilities. Duties may also include providing inputs to the Integrated Intelligence and Counterintelligence Support to Acquisitions Program Plan, the Joint Collection, Analysis, and Production Plan for Horizontal Threats to Critical Technology (including classification guides, if needed), and the Strategic Engagement Plan.  The analyst may also nominate candidates for inclusion on the DoD list of critical acquisition programs and technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of counterintelligence experience, to include:

    • 4+ years of science and technical intelligence (collection requirements generation and/or work at military department production center)
    • 4+ years of counterintelligence experience in one or more of the following areas:
      • Offensive Counterintelligence
      • Analysis and Production
      • Intelligence or Counterintelligence support to Research Development & Acquisitions (RDA)
      • Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM)
      • Advanced Persistent Threat (APT)
      • Open Source Intelligence
      • Vulnerability Assessments
      • Security
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Knowledge of intelligence threat assessments and vulnerability assessments
  • Strong analysis skills, including demonstrated ability to conduct analysis linking intelligence, acquisition, engineering/technical information, and vulnerability assessments

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma
  • Familiarity with DoD Acquisition and Intelligence policy
  • Production of Intelligence Collection requirements
  • Experience with the Palantir platform highly desired
  • Military experience preferredCurrent TS/SCI strongly desired; polygraph preferred
