Description

Engility has an immediate opening for a Technical Trainer in Cyber Security. This position offers the unique opportunity to support the development and instruction for a mission-specific and competency-based training program and curriculum for a national security customer.  You will not only support the design and development of training initiatives but will serve as instructor for teaching customer-specific applications and tools as well as technical components specific to the cyber domain. You will build hands-on exercises and scenarios in support of learning objectives. Additionally, you will have a role in the development of assessment frameworks for evaluating trainee performance. You will be part of a small team and will support coordination efforts as well as some administrative responsibilities for program components. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering timely, high-quality solutions in response to the customer’s mission.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Requires 5 or more years’ of experience in the delivery of instructor-led training or blended learning
  • Experience with providing technical training in applications, tools, and key cyber and internet fundamentals
  • Ability to apply instructional design principles to the development, implementation, and evaluation of training initiatives
  • Experience with the development, documentation, and maintenance of all training materials (design documents, lesson plans, instructor guides, participant guides, exercises, assessments, evaluations, etc
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and their application in a dynamic work environment
  • Requires at least 5 years’ of experience within the Intelligence Community

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data to determine skill gaps in order to plan and refine training initiatives
  • Experience in developing and presenting complex training programs
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • Experience with design and development of online and blended training solutions
  • Experience with training customer-specific applications and tool suites
  • Experience with content and knowledge management systems
  • Development and implementation of mission-based qualification and certification programs
  • Experience with development of case studies and scenario-based exercises
  • Development of trainee evaluation criteria and assessment instruments
