This work is focused on the network architecture analysis and identification of USAF operational aircraft and Weapons Systems Cybersecurity vulnerabilities and solutions to ensure that developing and fielded capabilities effectively deter efforts to infiltrate or exploit friendly systems by an unauthorized nation or organization. 


The Engineer will:


  • Support USAF System Program offices, Cybersecurity Program Leads, Program Managers, IPTs and Systems Engineers in identifying Critical Program Information, network architecture and message protocol vulnerabilities
  • Support developing and implementing network security designs for supported programs.
  • Complete Authority to Operate (ATO) Documentation Updates.
  • Coordinate and support completion of Cyber Security Impact Evaluation Reports.
  • Complete/maintain Operation View (OV-1) Architecture Diagrams.
  • Perform Cybersecurity analyses and participate in program reviews.
  • Provide support for developing, implementing, verifying and validating the implementation of Cybersecurity requirements for supported programs.
  • Participate in meetings, teleconferences, integration, verification and validation events as well as technical demonstrations.
  • Provide analysis and prepare documentation in support Government statutes.
  • Periodic trips from Tinker AFB, OK to vendor and other government
  • Installations will be performed throughout the period of performance.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Knowledge of Air Force Avionics systems
  • An understanding of network architecture design, security, and threat vulnerabilities. (Cyber and/or Anti-Tamper)
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment with military, government civilian and contractor personnel.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Security + certification
  • Clearance: This position requires a Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer/Cyber Security or Computer Science.
  • Network systems architect/engineer work experience.
  • Previous work with Air Force avionics systems and/or Electronic Warfare systems
  • Prior bomber operational experience or bomber aircraft Test and Evaluation experience
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
