Make a difference in your career supporting operational systems that are of the utmost importance to our Nation.  ENGILITY has an immediate need for a mid-level engineer to provide System Engineering services in an operational environment. The contract provides Systems Engineering Technical Advisory (SETA) support to manage the integration, test, and operational demonstration activities for collection systems.  The position is located in Springfield, Virginia.  This position is funded through February 2018 with the potential for a multi-year extension contingent upon the award of the follow-on contract. The selected candidate will provide technical and programmatic oversight for multiple projects to integrate new and/or upgraded collection system capabilities. This position reports to the onsite Element Leader and the duties require daily interface with the Customer.

  • Participate in and/or lead the preparation, execution and evaluation of collection system testing, integration and operational demonstrations.
  • Provide support to various integration and test related boards and working groups.
  • Provide assistance and recommendations for integration and program transition.
  • Support project-level activities such as site surveys, pre-deployment staging activities, site installation activities, and installation and checkout of ground processing and communications support systems.
  • Provide oversight and recommendations on Ground Segment change implementation planning, systems installation and integration planning, systems decommissioning planning, ground system relocation planning, and continuity of operations planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; and a CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years relevant experience, or the equivalent.
  • Possess the technical breadth of knowledge to identify and explain complex issues and provide recommendations to a broad range of operational, technical, programmatic, training and system installation issues.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently on multiple tasks at once
  • Able to occasionally work after normal duty hours (evenings/weekends) to support high priority activities
  • Able to conduct business travel (<5% of the time)

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior relevant experience supporting the Intelligence Community and the DELPHI customer.
  • Prior experience with the Site
  • Prior experience with the Customer’s missions, operational systems and organization is strongly preferred
