Description

Join our growing team as we support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Systems Engineering (ODASD(SE)) develop and grow the Systems Engineering capability of the Department of Defense – through engineering policy, continuous engagement with component Systems Engineering organizations and through substantive technical engagement throughout the DoD acquisition life cycle with major and selected acquisition programs.

 

Successful candidates will have 2-5 years of Systems Engineering skills and knowledge within a DoD acquisition program.  You will use your knowledge to learn and apply systems engineering practices in the areas of Anti-Tamper (AT) and Hardware Assurance (HwA) in identifying systems assurance and program protection risks and vulnerability mitigating strategies to protect the United States’ most advanced military technologies.

Job responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Participate in DoD acquisition program reviews 
  • Assist in a liaison role between the ODASD(SE) Deputy Director for AT and HwA and external government / industry organizations 
  • Coordinate interactions with internal and external entities as needed 
  • Support the management and development of the Acquisition Security Database (ASDB) 
  • Support DoD AT policy and guidance development, update, review, and implementation based on lessons learned from program reviews and application of best practices 
  • Attend and participate in AT community events and working groups 
  • Provide support in briefings to leadership as required

 

Coordinate efforts with other system security engineering (SSE) disciplines as it relates to Anti-Tamper including cyber security, software assurance, and program protection.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience knowledgeable in the areas of DoD Acquisition.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering technical reviews and hardware/software/firmware system concepts.
  • 2-5 years hands-on experience with customer relationship management.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills; proven ability to assess, select, and utilize a variety of methods and tools.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements, stakeholders, and environment.
  • Experience in planning and coordination of reviews, panels, or similar meetings with diverse participants.
  • Experience in preparing, coordinating, and presenting briefings.
  • TS clearance required, SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with AT, microelectronics, hardware design and architecture, SSE, network design, or other technical hardware concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to think in the context of DoD acquisition, including familiarity with DoD management and oversight systems, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with senior management/leadership, including presenting analytical results/recommendations in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • • Knowledge of OSD inter-office coordination and communication protocols.
