This work is focused on the identification and protection of Critical Program Information (CPI) and analysis and development of Anti-Tamper solutions to ensure that developed and fielded capabilities effectively deter efforts to Reverse Engineer (RE), exploit, or develop countermeasures and ensure against RE, replication, or modification by an unauthorized nation or organization.


The Engineer will:

  • Support Anti-Tamper (AT) Program Lead, Program Managers, IPT’s and Systems Engineers in identifying Critical Program Information and developing and implementing AT Plans, validating and sustaining CPI protection and AT solutions for supported programs.
  • Perform Cybersecurity tests, security analysis, program reviews, and work on V&V and test events.
  • Identify program CPI and provide subsequent support for developing, implementing, verifying and validating AT requirement implementation for supported programs.
  • Assist the U.S. Navy in working with Industry on the deployment of special technologies for the protection of critical technology in its systems deployed around the globe.
  • Participate in meetings, teleconferences, integration, verification and validation events as well as technical demonstrations.
  • Provide analysis and document preparation in support Government statutes and applicable export restrictions governing domestic and Foreign Military Sales.
  • Develop and support  Cryptographic Key Management process and documentation for the programs
  • Support development of PMA Program Protection Plans including Anti-Tamper plans.

It is anticipated that occasional trips from NAVAIR, Patuxent River, MD to vendor and other government installations, will be performed throughout the period of performance, as directed

Required Qualifications

  • Secret Clearance or Interim Secret clearance
  • Prior Anti-Tamper or Cybersecurity work on Avionics or Aircraft

The resume must  also clearly delineate two (2) years recent and relevant systems engineering experience in at least one (1) of the following areas: 

  • Development of systems engineering accordance with the latest DOD 5000 series instructions.
  • Technical documentation evaluations to include, but not be limited to prime contractor deliverables, system specifications, functional requirements documents, mission planning documents.
  • SOW/specification input to competitive procurement packages.
  • Development of aircraft upgrade initiatives.
  • SEST participation.
  • Design experience relative to aircraft in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware/Software Integration, or Systems Integration

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior support to NAVAIR.
  • 3 or more years of Anti-Tamper work experience
  • 3 or more years of Cybersecurity experience
  • A clear understanding of the Risk Management process
  • Experience with counterfeit products and an ability to identify counterfeit products.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain management
  • Bachelor's Degree
