Engility is seeking a Project Manager to support a NAVAIR Software Development effort.
The team will follow Navy software development methodologies, processes and structure to develop and manage various projects, focusing on weapons systems and aircraft/avionics systems. The team provides Software Systems Engineering, Project Planning, and Training for Information Systems & Software within a Systems Engineering practice. The team provides advanced software and database engineering services and assist with requirements development, as well as system integration applications and processes for the life-cycle of software products.
The Project Manager will work closely with the government customer and Technical Lead in China Lake, CA. Occasional travel to the site will be required. He or she will also work with the prime contractor to ensure milestones and deliverables are met. He or she will work with the Test Team and ensures that applications being developed, as well as COTS/GOTS applications being introduced to the software suite, meet performance, interoperability, and security expectations.

Position requires a MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Management or a related technical discipline. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: A BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant professional experience may be substituted for a MS or MA degree. These four (4) years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of ten (10) years to meet the “Experience” requirements below, therefore, requiring a total of fourteen (14) years of experience.
At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant professional experience in Software Project Management, program management, technical or business analysis discipline, related to weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management, is required; with a minimum of six (6) years out of the previous ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience related to analysis and planning.
Must have experience processing program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military programs. Demonstrated experience in the program/project status, earned value management and schedules is required
