Description

This work is focused on the network architecture analysis and identification of Cybersecurity vulnerabilities and solutions to ensure that developing and fielded capabilities effectively deter efforts to infiltrate or exploit friendly systems by an unauthorized nation or organization.

 

The Engineer will:

  • Support Cybersecurity/Anti-Tamper (AT) Program Lead, Program Managers, IPT’s and Systems Engineers in identifying Critical Program Information, network architecture vulnerabilities, message protocols and developing and implementing network security designs for supported programs.
  • Perform Cybersecurity analyses, program reviews, and work on V&V and test events.
  • Provide support for developing, implementing, verifying and validating the implementation of Cybersecurity requirements for supported programs.
  • Assist the U.S. Navy in working with Industry on the deployment of special technologies for the protection of critical technology in its systems deployed around the globe. 
  • Participate in meetings, teleconferences, integration, verification and validation events as well as technical demonstrations.
  • Provide analysis and prepare documentation in support Government statutes and applicable export restrictions governing domestic and Foreign Military Sales.
  • It is anticipated that occasional trips from NAVAIR, Patuxent River, MD to vendor and other government installations will be performed throughout the period of performance.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required. 
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience 
  • Knowledge of Avionics systems
  • An understanding of network architecture design, security, and threat vulnerabilities. (Cyber and/ or Anti-Tamper)
  • Clearance: This position requires a Top Secret clearance. Applicant must be TS eligible before start date.

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer/Cyber Security or Computer Science.
  • Network systems architect/engineer work experience. 
  • Previous work with Naval Aviation avionics systems and/or Electronic Warfare systems
  • Prior support to NAVAIR Program Office or aircraft Test and Evaluation. 
  • Electronic Warfare aviation experience (Prowler/Growler).
  • JATO or Naval Cyber Warfare Development Group experience.
  • Top Secret Clearance
