Job Responsibilities Engility is seeking a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse and highly motivated individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC and provide Navy test and evaluation engineering for ship test programs.


  • The candidate will provide T&E and program management support to PEO IWS 1TE.
  • Participate in major test planning meetings designed to translate Surface Ship combat system engineering requirements into test objectives and test plans and the identification of test resources.  
  • Coordinate with Navy Field Activities, program offices, agencies and defense contractors in the planning and execution AEGIS weapon system and other combat system test events.
  • Develop technical briefings to higher authorities and customers as required including study results, findings, overarching T&E strategies and recommendations involving multiple Navy Programs.
  • Frequent travel to test sites, industry sites, and customer locations for on-site technical support work and Navy range operations.
  • Candidate should be capable of understanding and analyzing technical and programmatic aspects of numerous unique programs and organizations, able to work independently as well as within dynamic team environments that include senior technical personnel, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills including MS Office proficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, or Management or relevant military training or experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.


Desired Qualifications

  • Prior Navy or military service.
  • Experience with Navy T&E.
  • Navy weapon system acquisition workforce/contractor experience.
