Engility is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah 84056.  Engility is looking for a systems engineer with a background in system integration, verification and testing.  A background in major acquisition support is desired. This is a great opportunity to work on one of the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition efforts in the DoD with a great company that is growing.  Position and pay commensurate with skills and experience.


Roles and Responsibilities (including some or all of the following):

  • System Development: technical planning and integration
    • Development of acquisition documents in support of milestones and contract actions
  • Review of contractor plans and data
  • Researching historical requirements, design, and performance data
  • Identifying, defining and managing electromechanical interfaces
  • Functional integration across multiple disciplines and organizations in support of system development
  • Customer advising and assistance

For the past 50 years, the United States Air Force has operated the Minute Man III (MMIII) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system (ICBM) as the land based component to America’s nuclear triad.  Recently, the congress of the United States has approved the Air Force to begin work on America’s next generation ICBM system, which is commonly referred to as the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD).  As a member of the Integration Support Contract, Engility is performing a critical role of Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance to the Air Force in the sustainment of the Minuteman III weapon system and the development of the GBSD system with the mission of providing technical expertise to the U.S. Air Force on missile, ground facilities and the Command and Control (C2) system. 

Required Qualifications

 To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below

  • Demonstrated skills in system integration, system verification and system testing, including
    • Development and execution of test & evaluation master plans, verification plans and integration plans for complex systems
  • Experience with the DoD 5000.02 acquisition process
  • BS in engineering or physics with 9+ years engineering experience with systems engineering or MS in engineering or physics with 5+ years engineering experience with systems engineering
  • Must have a Active Secret Security Clearance 
  • Must have demonstrated presentation skills and experience interfacing with the customer
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proactive, self-starting, independent, flexible engineer with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be productive with little supervision

Candidates with these desired skills/experiences will be given preferential consideration:

Candidates with an M.S. or Ph.D. in related fields of engineering or physics will be considered for this position.
