Seeking an Associate/Junior Software Developer/Script Writer who is a highly motivated self-starter experienced with working with diverse teams and possesses strong multitasking abilities, superb organization skills, excellent communication skills, and outstanding software development skills, and is extremely detail-oriented who has a minimum of an interim Secret clearance prior to starting employment. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with and support several high profile Joint Interoperability Test Command at Fort Meade, Maryland Enterprise Testing, customers who are requesting web based enterprise testing instrumentation tools.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, very results oriented, able to analyze the problem at hand and create logically consistent and maintainable programs from general specifications, comfortable working in a small development group to produce quality products, and able to follow tasks through to completion with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will perform automated testing of DoD’s web services and supporting technologies. Additional duties include hands-on management of a distributed instrumentation enclave with extensive virtual and physical infrastructure, cryptographic equipment, and Linux and MS Windows servers.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or minimum of 2 years work experience in related field.
  • Programming skills: PHP, JavaScript, C# (.net) .
  • Ability to write and interpret basic shell scripts in Bash, Powershell, or DOS.
  • Exposure to the use of Software Management Tools ( i.e., Git, TFS, Subversion, etc.).
  • Exposure to MYSQL and MSSQL using COTS tools.
  • Understanding of functional WAN or LAN technology.
  • TCP/IP, client/server relationships, web and application servers, and associated network components such as switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • The ability to perform assigned duties with minimum supervision / guidance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Interim Secret to start work and full secret within 270 days of Employment.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge / Experience working with HP automated testing tool: HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Performance Center (HPPC), Load Runner, TurnKey cFactory, etc. (Highly Desirable)
  • VMware experience/certification.
  • A+, Net+, Security+, or equivalent DoD 8570.01M certification (Desireable).
  • Experience working with one or all of the following: Logi-Analytics, Apache, MS IIS, and Hardware Security Modules (HSM) (Highly Desirable).
  • SQL Server Database administration experience.
  • Knowledge of system administration with troubleshooting abilities.
  • Technical writing and briefing skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Formal developmental and/or operational testing experience.
  • Basic understanding of PKI, Common Access Card, and certificate issuance technologies.
