Engility is searching for a Satcom/Satellite Systems Engineer to support our customer in Reston. Apply your satellite communications and systems engineering expertise to an important intelligence mission that is making impacts to national security each day. The successful candidate will support the planning, development, testing and deployment of satellite communications capabilities and systems. The fast-paced nature of this activity requires a proactive and self-driven individual with excellent interpersonal skills to work with multiple customers and balance the needs of multiple projects that will be supported. The candidate must bring a strong engineering background in Satellite Communications, have strong programmatic experience in helping customers manage project schedules, cost, etc, and have experience developing acquisition documents to include Statements of Work, User Requirements documents, System and Technical Requirements documents, Concepts of Operation, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Requires 13 years of total work experience, 5 of which must involve satellite communications engineering
  • Proven performance working in fast-paced environments providing engineering and systems engineering support
  • Strong programmatic skills to include project planning, execution, and control, schedule development and management, etc
  • Experience helping customers develop Statements of Work, Requirements documents, etc
  • Ability to assess technical specifications and designs and provide technical solution recommendations to the customer
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach are essential to success in this job

Desired Qualifications

  • A Bachelors Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Communications Engineering, etc) is preferred
