Engility works with our customers on missions that strengthen security and safety and protect the basic values of our society. We are seeking an experienced for skilled Engineers with deep technical knowledge and broad experience to support a critical customer program. This individual is vital to the success of the program and provides tremendous opportunity for technical leadership as a contractor and to work as a domain expert as part of a world class Technical Services team. The successful individual will apply their systems engineering expertise in the areas of requirements analysis and verification for the customer’s activities. This will include tracking changes in requirements, working with the configuration manager on changes to SE documents, etc.  Support across the full range of customer programs will be provided. Description: This position performs requirements analysis and verification activities; tracks requirements changes; and maintains configuration control of system engineering documentation. In addition, this position will support program reviews and technical exchange meetings; provide technical assessments; facilitate technical discussions across organizations; clarify program requirements, interfaces, and implementations; provide engineering assessments to define system requirements and capabilities, designs, system verification, and transition to operations; and support verification, validation, and readiness activities.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new communications techniques and cutting edge technology
  • Review program for technical risks and recommend mitigation approaches
  • Assess and prioritize payload maintenance activities and performance upgrades
  • Review system architecture, requirements flow-down, verification methodologies, CONOPS documentation, test plans and other design artifacts across the program
  • Plan mission deployment, integration and operations strategies
  • Effectively communicate and interface with engineers from various contractor and government organizations; prepare and present briefings to customers on technical topics when requested
  • Provide technical recommendations during working groups, engineering review boards, design reviews, test readiness reviews, operational readiness reviews, technical exchange meetings, etc.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Requires one of the following education and experience combinations:
    • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience
    • Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of communications theory and engineering discipline
  • Ability to identify system impacts and pitfalls associated with communications systems,
  • Experience in multiple communications techniques (ie terrestrial, BLOS, Satcom, etc.)
  • Experience in test plan development, planning, execution and review
  • Experience in data reduction, analysis and summarization
  • Experience developing mathematical models and algorithm coding
  • Experience in technical performance assessment and quality assessment
  • Experience across multiple engineering disciplines to include:  electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, software development, integration and test
  • Experience with mission integration and external interface management
  • Familiarity with commercial programming language such as Matlab or Python
