  • The incumbent will support the acquisition, and systems and integration engineering of Air Vehicle Management Systems/Displays on the F/A-18A-F and EA-18G model aircraft. 
  • Manage all aspects of acquisition and systems integration of airborne displays and their relation with Air Vehicle Management Systems on the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft including requirements analysis, specification generation, integration, and creation of integration procedures and results reporting. 
  • Analyze requirements for new software, generate specifications, create test plans, and plan and coordinate all lab, ground, and flight integration efforts. 
  • Create plans, develop test points and procedures, support flight integration efforts as well as post-flight analysis and will need to interact with and brief aircrew. 
  • Apply skills in airborne systems analysis, development, and operation to support integration efforts.  
  • Identify and direct the development of new capabilities.  
  • Support, organize, and participate in all events pertaining to the integration effort of the system. 
  • Communicate orally and in writing to SCS Managers, Acquisition Leaders, and Task Team Leaders, and be expected to brief aircrew and upper management on the integration status of the Air Vehicle Management Systems.
  • Follow and adhere to the engineering processes outlined in the F/A-18 Systems Engineering Process Manual, SEPM, with regards to the Cognizant Engineer section. 

Required Qualifications

  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum 2 years of relevant experience. A Master's degree and 1 year experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with avionics bus integration in accordance with applicable standards including MIL-STD-1553 and systems requirement and interface publications such as Mission System Operation and Functional Description (MSOFD), and Interface Control Document (ICD).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience conducting systems and integration engineering of Air Vehicle Management Systems/Displays on all F/A-18 and EA-18G model aircraft.
  • Have basic knowledge of operational scenarios that drive the operating functionality of the Air Vehicle Management System displays.
