Description

Engility is seeking innovative programmers for its Research & Development activities in support of FAA Human Factors and Air Traffic Control Systems. This exciting position will help guide the way that the nation flies for decades into the future. Involves programming in Java, C++ and applications related to prototyping and simulation.  We need imaginative programmers who can prototype, research, and developing our world class Air Traffic Control simulator.  Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, work well in a group and with individual assignments.  Full-time positions are in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA Technical Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
  • 0-4 Years experience
  • Strong object oriented program development experience in  Java or C++
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with programming in a Linux environment
  • TCL/TK, Perl, HTML5, javascript
  • Prototype development  
  • Simulation applications  (e.g., ODS Toolbox etc.)
  • Data analysis involving use of analysis tools (e.g., Matlab, custom software)
  • Knowledge and experience with aviation systems.
  • Human Factors
