Description

Provide evolving business processes, enabling collaborative environments, and improving business workflows. Develop and maintain processes for knowledge and information sharing including best practices and guidelines. Support process improvement, enterprise information sharing and discovery, knowledge capture, content management, communication and training. Developing and implementing effective knowledge management strategies. Manage processes, systems and reporting techniques for effective knowledge creation, storage and sharing. Create and maintain knowledge repository system based on SharePoint Portal. Develop a comprehensive taxonomy for organizing knowledge. Provide ongoing training on KM tools access, processes and usage. Identify and solicit opportunities for knowledge sharing between teams. Work with all stakeholders to elicit, document and gather approval for KMS requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree.
  • Must have 5-7 years experience creating and leveraging KM strategies to support operational programs.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, SharePoint Services/Portal Server, Microsoft Office suite.
  • DoD ‘Secret’ clearance required.
  • Experience with infrastructure specific to Cyber Security.
  • Knowledgeable on Cyber Security language, processes, and workflow within the KM realm.
  • Provide consulting skills, knowledge management support, and optimization and support of the knowledge management system for the client directorate in Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Must have a working knowledge of database management systems and structures, a thorough knowledge of online collaborative tools, social networking tools, and content management systems.
  • Collaborate with program personnel to automate workflows and improve business processes.
  • Develop and deliver training, communications, and tutorials to train and provide administrative support to program personnel on SharePoint functionality including procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide general "help desk" support to program staff that are having difficulty accessing documents in the knowledge management system.
  • Serves as the Information and Knowledge Management Specialist at the Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP). Responsible for developing the Command's Information and Knowledge Management Strategy (IKMS) // Information and Knowledge Management Plans (IKMP).
  • Develop, review, and validate mission critical information and knowledge exchange requirements, procedures, and processes.
  • Develop, implement, and assess the organization's data collection and reporting needs.
  • Establish new information and knowledge products as required, improving ability to search and access needed information and knowledge products.
  • Ensure the content is well structured, current, assessable, accurate, and end-user friendly.
  • Close coordination/partnership with subject matter experts to ensure content integrity, availability, quality, and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of information security and systems administration; manages user access and permission levels.
  • Supports Intranet sites built on SharePoint.
  • Configures SharePoint services and settings.
  • Documents SharePoint configuration and architecture.
  • Monitors site quotas and file size limits.
  • Reviews and monitors usage reports.
  • Manages content databases and create new ones as required.
  • Administers and maintains sites and sub-sites; manages the site layout structure and content.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, and technology team members in support of SharePoint environment planning, deployment, and operational support.
  • Create and manage a backup plan for critical SharePoint data.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Project Server in SharePoint.
  • Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections.
  • Manage SharePoint end user accounts, permissions and access rights in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy and security.
  • Develop training materials and provide training to users with varying levels of skills.
  • Test recommended, emerging SharePoint and application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Assist with efficient implementation of new software products, tools or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Desired Qualifications

·   Experience developing InfoPath forms and workflows.

  • Degree preference in knowledge management, information sciences, or library sciences.
