Engility Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer. The candidate shall have technical credentials to provide system architecture designs and define key capabilities and performance requirements for U.S. Navy CANES and ISNS Family of Systems.
The Systems Engineer plans for, designs, and oversees the integration of operating systems including server software modules, security levels, utilities, and third party products. They will participate in and oversee development of network topologies, physical layout, and communications configurations. The Systems Engineer reviews system growth rates and capacity requirements and recommends software, hardware, and information processing options. They will also be responsible for developing procedures and policies governing IT operations as well as participating in and overseeing installation, configuration, and management of monitoring diagnostic utilities, bridges, routers, and gateways to optimize network efficiency. The SE oversees and conducts analyses and verification procedures for existing and proposed IT applications
The Systems Engineer shall follow software installation experience and C4ISR system documentation experience in accordance to Configuration Management policies for SPAWAR. This includes but is not limited to all CANES/ISNS/GCCS engineering support, technical documents and technical drawings. The Systems Engineer plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, multiplexers, firewalls, bridges, gateways, etc.
