The RF Engineer  supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, California.  He or she will serve as a Senior Radar Engineer on a RF Systems team. The major duties and responsibilities of this position require that the incumbent:


  • Serve as a technical consultant for Radio Frequency systems.
  • Possess state-of-the-art knowledge of deployed and developmental radar systems.
  • Apply RF Systems expertise to Navy manned and unmanned RF sensor systems.
  • Develop and implement RF signal processing.
  • Possess technical capabilities in the Advanced RF Signal Processing and RF Data Collection business areas, including for mono- and bi-static radar systems, assorted radar operating modes and UAS-based applications of RF technology.
  • Perform radar system data collection planning.


This position is contingent on funding from the customer.

Part time employment may also be an option if that is preferred by the applicant.

Required Qualifications

  • MS or MA degree in Engineering, Logistics, Science or a Relevant Technical Discipline. Allowable Substitution: A BS or BA Degree and an additional four (4)  years of experience can be substituted for an MS or MA degree.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to Naval Weapons systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in RF Engineering.
  • DoD Secret Clearance in good standing.
