Engility is seeking an experienced Writer/Editor to join a proactive and high impact team working in a dynamic environment enabling situational awareness and capability reporting to senior US Government leadership.  The Writer/Editor works across the internal organization and with external business partners to create written communications packages and must be able to manage large and small projects and deliver well-crafted written communications on time, sometimes with short deadlines.  To do this, the you must understand the customer organization well, including its technical tools and programs. You must capture formal discussions attended by multiple offices centered on the capabilities of those offices to address key intelligence targets.  Meeting results should culminate in a final report that accurately captures the discussions along with action items that is shared with participants.  You will draft weekly highlights products that are intended for high-level customers, and will also draft executive summaries for situational awareness products.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Requires 5+ years of substantial experience in the customer organization and a familiarity with intelligence tasking, collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination
  • Strong writing and editing skills with extensive experience writing in a manner consistent with USG writing practices
  • Ability to write for a variety of audiences, including the executive audience
  • Familiarity with technical tools and programs of the offices affiliated with the primary customer
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, including an ability to think strategically
  • Ability to absorb and synthesize large amounts of information about the spectrum of critical mission activities
  • Track record of multi-tasking and dealing with changing priorities, managing time effectively and working with a sense of urgency, and demonstrating strong teamwork skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of communication software applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
