Description

  • Performs system and subsystem integration, technical risk assessments, technical planning, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses of total systems throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware, systems and software specifications.
  • May work either 32 hours a week or a full-time schedule. 

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in DoD R&D and Systems acquisition relating to Naval Aviation systems and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Computer Science, or Physics is required.
  • The resume must clearly delineate four years of recent and relevant naval aviation systems engineering experience in at least two of the following areas:
  • Participating in assisting NAVAIR sponsored Systems Engineering Support Teams (SESTs), IPTs, EDTs and development of systems engineering implementation plans.
  • Naval Aviation acquisition planning to include acquisition plan, MNS, ORD, ICD, CCD, CPD, ASR, MOAs, CDP, PMP, TEMP and other mandated DoD 5000 requirements Performance of Naval Air Vehicle or Avionics performance and schedule risk Assessments Development of Naval Aviation Systems Level Specifications Performance of Naval Aviation Trade Studies in preparation of position papers for Alternative systems considerations Sensor and reconnaissance Systems integration and development.
  • The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to meet this obligation
  • Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Systems Engineering, Aircraft Structures, Recovery Systems, Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAV), Navair U-Class, Navy Special Warfare Command and/or the RQ 21A Scan Eagle.
