About Aberdeen Proving Ground:

 

Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) is conveniently located between Baltimore and Philadelphia in in Aberdeen, MD (Harford County).   Harford County has a population of approximately 250,000 and is home to three ­municipalities: Aberdeen, Bel Air and Havre de Grace. The county is comprised of an ideal mix of rich historical areas, bustling urban regions and waterfront amenities, along with ­picturesque and scenic landscapes of hills, forests and farms. Numerous outdoor recreational ­opportunities include fishing, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking and more. There are a number of parks, gardens, museums and other cultural attractions. Description

  • Provides technical surveillance to determine the adequacy of the software engineering program to achieve design and development objectives.
  • Performs technical surveillance of systems and software controls and processes through in depth review and commenting of software products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 years of experience providing technical surveillance to determine the adequacy of the software engineering program to achieve design and development objectives.
  • Six years of direct relevant QA experience may be substituted for education.
  • Strong understanding of the software development and testing process.
  • Experience required of developing and executing test plans.
  • Experience writing and using automated test scripts and tools.
  • Strong ability to document test cases, as well as the results of those test cases.
  • Ability to manage and maintain multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively as part of and within a team atmosphere required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly write and proofread test scenarios.
  • Must have strong relationship orientation.
  • Must have high energy level, high degree of integrity, self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive approach to work, confidence.
  • Strong decision making skills and excellent judgment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Preference to prior military service with SATCOM experience.
