Description

Collects information to analyze and evaluate. Performs logical and physical system design and reviews and prepares system documents and specifications. Conducts technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with system. Prepares reports, studies and documentation. Delivers presentations and participates in meetings. Works on special problem areas; administers complex areas of the network, security analysis and planning.

Required Qualifications

Position requires a BS or BA degree in a related scientific/engineering field from an accredited college or university. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An AS or AA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant professional experience; OR an additional eight (8) years of recent and relevant professional experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree. These four (4) years or eight (8) years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of six (6) years to meet the “Experience” requirements below, therefore, requiring a total of ten (10) years or fourteen (14) years of experience, respectively. At least six (6) years of recent and relevant professional experience in a technical analysis position with mid-sized client-server systems in systems analysis, software design, software development and database administration. Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and independent verification and validation techniques. Experience working independently and as part of a team in researching data, developing analytical techniques and methodologies. Demonstrated knowledge of system acquisition practices required to design, develop, integrate, test and manufacture a major system is required. Performs tasks with little or no guidance.

Advanced Avionics Technology Demonstration, Common Avionics

Electronic Warfare (EW) systems

Communications systems, Navigation systems, Advanced Tactical Surveillance

Integrated Tactical Decision Aids, Weapons Engagement Rehearsal Aids (E&RA), Theater Ballistic Missile Defense

Aircraft / Weapon integration

Joint Precision Approach Landing System (JPALS)

Aircraft Launch and Recovery,  EMALS
