Due to our continued growth we are seeking to add an Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud Developer to our team.


Your future duties and responsibilities as an AWS Cloud Developer encompass the engineering of business and technical solutions in support of the Intelligence Community Infrastructure Service Provider (NISP) leveraging AWS. The AWS Developer supports development devised by subject matter experts and engineers, yielding Cloud Solution Offerings for NISP Customers. You will also participate as a Solution Lead for Cloud Proposals and Opportunities. Required qualifications to be successful in this role include previous experience working with AWS, big data platforms, Linux, and relational as well as NoSQL databases. You will both work independently and oversee junior cloud engineers.You will implement the architecture required to monitor a flow of data through various complex systems, while ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility at the highest quality
Join our team in standing up AWS technologies EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, Machine Learning, Elasticsearch Service and their capabilities. You will also set distributed computing systems and monitor node balance, system failures, hardware/resource constraints, etc.
Able to communicate with other teams and understand the data requirements so that the data infrastructure is compatible and suitable for Analytics. Along with our team, you will produce top notch statistical models and reports and help implement them in the customer’s environment.
ETL and query data from multiple high-volume relational and/or big data (distributed environments) repositories. Bring your track record of solving difficult problems. Leverage AWS capabilities (scalability, elasticity, and high availability) to assist Application Service Providers and Intelligence Community Infrastructure Service Provider (NISP) to transition from a physical to virtual enclave.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with ability to successfully obtain a polygraph
  • BA/BS degree or 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment, serving in a technical team or software developer position 
  • Hands on experience with AWS and strong understanding of AWS capabilities and limitations
  • Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape.
  • Write code for Amazon Web Services API’s and SDK’s.
  • Firm understanding of Python, Cryptography, Developer, Development, DNS, Encryption, Hardware, HTTP, Java, Lifecycle, Management, Materials, Networking, Programming, Project, Protocols, Bash & Python
  • Utilize AWS Cloud Formation to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment to reduce time to production.
  • Implement simple and effective solutions.
  • Ensure performance, reliability, security and ease of maintenance
  • Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution Use Amazon CloudWatch to establish metrics and monitor the health/utilization of AWS resource.
  • Experience creating presentations that support Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) overviews, onboarding, status updates and any other necessary support documentation; Create and sustain NISP managed Helper VPC which include URL proxies, C2S Access Points, and Bastion Hosts.
  • Experience coordinating with NISP network team to implement and finalize required network connections for Customer VPCs.
  • Support customer incident, problem, and change management through the External Cloud Office’s service desk function.
  • Bachelor's Degree with industry experience, significant customer experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience performing on-boarding activities for the appropriate external (AWS, C2S, GovCloud, etc.) cloud environment available to the Intelligence Community and supporting migration efforts of applications and services into AWS.
  • Experience with Certification and Accreditation (C&A), integration, operational training, deployment, transition, and maintenance of systems and services delivered to the Enterprise.
  • Experience as a Linux Systems Administrator
  • Understanding of integration and sustainment of enterprise servers.


Desired Qualifications

  • FedRAMP, NIST and FISMA compliance, Federal procurement, security and Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes, VMWare, IT Service Management, and Content Delivery Networks.
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate Certification
