Engility's Space Systems Group is seeking an engineer or space systems operator with engineering experience to join the team.  We are looking for a proactive individual who is flexible; able to respond to a changing environment; collaborates across the community and Department of Defense (DoD); provides technical assessment for counter intelligence; and guides customer activities focused on developing/assessing alternative architectures to take advantage of emerging technologies to meet evolving intelligence needs and capabilities.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Internal engagement across the customer organization to build acceptance for current and future acquisition decisions that support senior decision maker’s intent for an efficient, effective and integrated mission architecture.
  • Provide expertise in space systems operations. Analyze mission operations for counter intelligence impacts. Identify foreign knowledge of systems.
  • Develop, define and assess mission needs and capabilities that are driving future architecture solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify, develop and assess alternative mission architecture solutions efficiently and effectively
  • Evaluate alternative acquisition/investment portfolios against future architecture direction/guidance to support senior level decision making
  • Outreach and engagement with industry, academia and other Government agencies involved with the use and development of emerging technologies, operating concepts, tactics and behaviors impacting evolving intelligence problems
  • Develop and maintain architecture products that capture and communicate senior decision maker’s intended direction and implementation guidance for an efficient, effective and integrated mission architecture.
  • Lead cross functional/organizational teams to assist with formulating a unified vision for the enterprise.

Required Qualifications

  • BS STEM degree with a minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience in engineering or space operations
  • Current TS/SCI with ability to successfully complete a CI polygraph
  • Strong technical fundamentals in Intelligence Community (IC) space collectors, space operations, command and control, mission control, and mission processing
  • Knowledge of space or ground architectures, systems and acquisition programs in the GEOINT, SIGINT or Communications domains
  • Superior interpersonal, written and communications skills with the ability to interface with different personalities in a range of positions, including many at very senior levels
  • Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments
  • Analytical skills in support of operations impacts, case analysis, and analysis of alternatives
  • Ability to independently plan and execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications

  • MS in Space Operations, Strategic Intelligence, Science, Engineering, or Math
