Description

Engility is seeking a Mid-level Airborne Systems Test Engineer to support a critical program for our Intelligence Community customer. This position is vital to the success of the program and our national security and provides a tremendous opportunity for technical leadership as a contractor.  The successful candidate will apply their flight test experience in support of customer airborne test activities. Support includes developing and reviewing test plans, collecting test data, and documenting the results. This position will work under the supervision of the Project Manager while participating in the activities of engineering test solutions and developing test assets based upon customer requirements. These activities will consist of, but not limited to, estimating and planning test activities, developing, executing, documenting, maintaining, and archiving test assets. Additional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the engineering of test solutions based upon customer requirements.
  • Correctly interpret and consistently follow the Program’s defined policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Identify and document derived test requirements based upon customer specifications.
  • Develop automated and manual procedures based upon derived requirements.
  • Execute automated and manual test procedures using commercially available test tools.
  • Participate in Design Reviews or other technical meetings as directed.
  • Develop technical documentation detailing test requirements, test design parameters, test procedures, test plans, test result logs, test reports, and defect reports.
  • Ensure test documentation is well written, accurate, complete, and thorough.
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Provide input to scheduling of test–related activities.
  • Ensure the maintenance of test assets and documentation.
  • Provide strategic and technical solutions to problems and issues.
  • Lead the engineering of test solutions based upon customer requirements.
  • Develop plans and schedules for test–related activities.
  • Develop test data.
  • Provide the Test Leads with weekly status reports detailing their accomplishments.
  • Participate in both formal and informal Peer Reviews as needed. 

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree and 3 years or relevant experience.
