This position will be located in the Bethesda, MD area, and all candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance.

 

Reports Writers will provide direct support to NMEC Operations, specifically the Reporting, Production, and Dissemination (RPD) team, by producing a minimum of three (3) Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs) each week. Reports will be clear, concise, grammatically correct, and will consist of relevant document and media exploitation (DOMEX) findings based on priority intelligence requirements as leveraged by the government. Junior reports officers should expect to learn the DOMEX process and provide administrative support to senior reports writers, staff officers, and senior government leadership.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • A minimum of three (3) IIRs per week using the standards outlined in the NMEC strategy
  • Provide direct support to the NMEC RPD Team Lead by taking ownership of priority collections and producing high-value reporting that has direct global impact
  • Conduct research on operational data to enhance the intelligence value of out-going products
  • Promote a collaborative atmosphere within RPD and with technical exploitation personnel while maintaining a strong working relationship with NMEC partners and embedded liaisons
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of intelligence requirements and how they apply to current reporting
  • Learn and implement the process required to engage with NMEC partners and embedded analysts
  • Maintain accurate ownership of active collections and learn to identify key reporting elements of information

Required Qualifications

  • Active or very recent (within past 24 months) TS/SCI security clearance, and able to pass polygraph
  • At least 4 years’ experience in DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), or Law Enforcement Agency
  • Demonstrate very strong written communication skills
  • Proven experience with all Microsoft Office programs
  • Bachelor’s Degree or previous military experience

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DIA organization and structure
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC)
  • Experience using HOTR and IC related research tools
