Description

  • The selected individual in this position will be welding various types of metals such as aluminum and steel in various shapes and sizes, including but not limited to welding that may be subjected to high stress, including mounts, frames, lift points, pressure checks, and inspection of welds involved in the manufacturing, repair, and/or modification of equipment, systems, and structures.
  • Will Weld, braze, rework and repair parts and components in accordance with applicable technical orders and process orders.
  • The Welder is responsible for being consistent with acceptable work practices, company and military production, quality, and safety standards.
  • Will setup and operate welding equipment, machines and tooling to fabricate specialized parts and components of systems
  • Coordinate daily set-up, and production of products while always following blueprints to meet product specifications, tolerances and quality.
  • Maintain accurate/legible records of production and machine operations.
  • Maintain product quality and coordinate deviation corrective actions with Supervisor/Foreman immediately.
  • Maintain tools, gages, inventory of equipment and maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner at all times.
  • Set-up and operate machines and associated equipment to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts and verbal instructions.

Required Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Internet
  • Can lay-out, fit and fabricate components to assemble structural forms
  • Is experienced with production welding and are adept to using conventional measuring tools
  • Blueprint reading, Torch Cutting, Metal Saws, Welding Techniques Safety and welding certificates is a plus
  • Has experience with MIG, TIG, Gas Metal, Shielded Metal and Gas Tungsten Arc welding, and oxyacetylene gas welding.
  • AA or AS degree in a relevant discipline. Allowable Substitution: Two additional years of experience may be submitted for the associate’s degree.
  • At least three (3) years of practical experience to include testing, manufacturing or maintenance.

The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to meet this obligation
