Organizes and provides technical training programs to the organization. Plans, schedules, and conducts training. Develops training materials, including outlines, texts, handouts, and examinations, and designs laboratory exercises. Practices continuous process improvement for efficiency and effectiveness of training goals and implementation plans. Administers written and practical exams. Evaluate trainees' performance and creates performance reports. Serves as a liaison between the technical subject matter experts and the intended training audience. Must meet all training objectives, goals, and requirements on time and within budget. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of the organization's products and services. Technical training may be developed and presented on topics that may include but are not limited to: DoD/Joint Staff test and evaluation policies and procedures; technical writing; DoD systems such as business, logistics, intelligence, Command and Control; and other DoD information technology systems and networks.
Must be familiar with a variety of the concepts, practices, and procedures employed by the organization. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a project leader, supervisor, or manager. Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to the department.
This work requires understanding of DoD directives and instructions and familiarity with T&E interoperability, operational testing, and developmental testing of Information Tehnology/National Security Systems (IT/NSS). Depending on the subject matter, some of this work requires individuals to possess required certifications such as associated with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Information Assurance Management (IAM), CND Analyst, CND Auditor, and IA Systems Architects and Engineers (IASAEs).
Requires at least 5 years of experience; a minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education from an accredited institution working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a directly related curriculum and at least 4 years of experience; or an Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of experience. Certifications in the area of specialization, if applicable, may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
