Join Engility Company, and be a part of a team that is impacting National security.  We are currently looking for an OS Training Program Instructor with active/current TS/SCI security clearance to join our Team in Springfield, VA to support one of our Programs within the Intelligence Community.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to understand SR Geospatial Open Source Mission and how that relates to NGA and IC and be able to provide course status updates (briefings and reports) to SR and any external parties involved in the development of course.

  • Coordinate with SR Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in order to schedule appropriate guest instructors to cover all of the lessons.
  • Responsible for the class introduction for each session covering administrative tasks and pertinent information about the classrooms and facilities.
  • Act as a backup instructor in case a guest instructors cannot cover the lesson they signed up to teach. Serve as the main host for courses taught.
  • Coordinate liaisons with involved external parties for course validation and content collaboration (i.e., DHS, FBI, NGIC, ONI, OSC).
  • Coordinate attendance of analysts external to NGA who wish to attend the course with the assistance of training coordinator registrar.
  • Arrange for those external course attendees to have guest computer log ins to fully participate in course. Send introduction emails with facility and course information to all registered course attendees courtesy copying guest instructors.
  • This will include where and when to show up and with what materials and accounts.
  • Coordinate curriculum input with internal NGA entities involved in the development of the course which includes but is not limited to Classification Management, Disclosure and Release, Office of General Council, NGA College, and HD.

  • Ensure existing and future course materials meet NGC standards.
Responsible for processing course critique feedback and student assessments making appropriate changes and updates to the course content as well as maintain metrics of the feedback and making sure guest instructors see the feedback applicable to the course sections they teach so that they may make appropriate changes.

  • Ensure updated copies of course content are available to course attendees in soft copy in a transfer folder.
Provides training Certificates of Completion to the instructor for the students in the afternoon before the end of class on the second day if requested by the government
Course Lead or the Instructor.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an active/current TS/SCI
  • Requires 6 or more years of curriculum development experience in an educational setting and 3 or more years of experience in a leadership role
  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree in a business, education or related field or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with various educational models 

  • Strategic planning experience 

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Ability to communicate to groups in a classroom and non-classroom setting. 

  • Ability to plan, organizes, develop and implement instruction. 

  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
